Position SummaryThe Manager of Test Engineering leads a team responsible for developing and supporting hardware test processes, equipment, and strategies that ensure product quality and efficient manufacturing. This role partners cross-functionally to deliver reliable, cost-effective test solutions from prototype through production.
Essential Job Functions
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of hardware test engineers
Define and manage test strategies for new and existing hardware products
Oversee creation and maintenance of test plans, fixtures, equipment, and automation
Ensure design-for-test (DFT) requirements are implemented in new designs
Support manufacturing and contract manufacturers with test readiness, yield improvement, and issue resolution
Ensure adherence to quality, reliability, and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement of test processes, throughput, and cost
Collaborate with hardware, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams on product development and production scaling
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
7 years of hardware test engineering experience, including team leadership
Strong knowledge of electronic hardware testing, instrumentation, and automation
Experience supporting production tests in manufacturing environments
Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills
Experience with high-volume manufacturing and contract manufacturers.
Familiarity with DFT/DFM principles, boundary-scan, and reliability testing.
Experience with statistical analysis and test optimization
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, use hands, operate a computer, and have specific vision abilities to include close and distance vision, and ability to adjust focus working with computer and business equipment.
