ElectraLeaf New York – Confidential and Proprietary Post-Production Packaging Technician Job Description Summary of Role The Post-Production Packager will package all finished cannabis flower products into Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) containers (gram/eighth/quarter/ounce/pound units), pre-rolls in varying sizes and quantities, trim for sale and/or extraction, and kief byproduct. Further, the Post-Production Packaging Technician will operate, clean, and sanitize automation equipment to include auto-weighers, conveyor belts, material hoppers, pre-roll machines, printers/labelers, and other critical product-touching areas. If packaging by hand, work tasks will include properly assembling boxes/bags/tubes, correctly applying required labels, and utilizing proper tools. This position reports directly to the Post-Production Manager and is an essential member of the post-production team. Qualifications and Skillsets The Post-Production Packager must minimally have a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Ideal candidates possess basic cannabis product knowledge (terms/slang, gram amounts, and sativa/indica/hybrid) and any commercial experience is a plus. This position requires a self-motivated work ethic that values dependability and accountability and has a healthy respect for carefully following company SOPs and compliance guidelines. Preferred professional characteristics include disciplined time management, the ability to track diverse product packaging data (SKU amounts, purchase orders, fulfillment), and provide high-quality manual labor on a consistent basis in order to meet department goals. Position Responsibilities and Expectations ● ElectraLeaf unit product filling across multiple diverse container sizes and types via automated filling machines or assembly line style hand packaging to include material preparation (cannabis and packaging), production operation, final form labeling and storage, and workstation and equipment cleaning and sanitization. ● Seed-to-sale software (i.e. BioTrack, Distru) accountability to include input and output reporting (final numbers and procedural loss), product batch management, transfer manifests, and product/batch tag administration. ● Maintain up-to-date lab testing results (sample status and COAs), inventory quantities, dates, and sales turnaround times. Additionally, the Post-Production Packaging Technician will uphold physical supply amounts (consumables and hard goods) and notify the Post-Production Manager of any resupply requests. ● On a daily basis examine and inspect packaging machines for integrity, function, and performance for set-up protocols, run time operations, and equipment breakdown from batch to batch of biomass throughput. ● The Post-Production Packager will correctly follow all mandated facility and state program Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines, facility cleaning and sanitization practices (equipment and room/department specific), all applicable SOPs, and uphold safety and security policies. ElectraLeaf New York – Confidential and Proprietary ● Where necessary, maintain strong supply chain vendor relationships for necessary company packaging materials to include day-to-day department necessities, housekeeping agents, tools/utensils, and label printing needs. ● Clean and sanitize the facility packaging zones to include individual machines, pre-roll/trim/kief areas and storage spaces (racks, surfaces, workstations). Activities will include mopping floors, wiping down walls, and overall keeping areas free of debris. ● Provide quality control oversight for ElectraLeaf flower, vape, and edible goods relating to defective/non-compliant packaging (physical containers and labels) and biomass characteristics (appearance, aroma, size). Physical Demands and Working Conditions This is a hands-on operations position based on facility multi-form product packaging activities and quality assurance responsibility for the company’s sale-ready cannabis material. The Post-Production Packaging Technician handles routine, detailed concepts and problems, balances multiple tasks simultaneously, and is a dependable member of the company’s packaging team regarding labeling, fulfillment and finishing practices. The Post-Production Packager will be tasked with manual labor activities requiring the full range of body mobility to include sitting/standing most of the workday, fine motor skills for bud and trim handling, working in warm humid environments, and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 – 100 lbs. of weight. The Post-Production Packaging Technician will need to demonstrate proper ergonomic form and posture when in the workplace, follow all OSHA guidelines and requirements while on site to ensure a safe facility, and overall be a durable employee. Travel Any/most travel will be primarily local during the business day, although some nearby out-of-the-area and travel may be expected for emergency supply runs. Desired Employee Attributes ElectraLeaf New York – Confidential and Proprietary ● Ability to complete daily task lists provided by Leadership, read, write, and speak English effectively, and must have basic arithmetic abilities; ● Experience with seed-to-sale software applications (METRC, Biotrack, MJ Freeway) and support programs (Microsoft Office, especially spreadsheets, online Microsoft Office 365, Google Drive); and ● Employment experience in a regulated cannabis program (medical or adult use). Additional Employment Requirements ● Individuals applying must be a minimum of 21 years old; ● Applicants must be a state resident or be willing to relocate; ● The ideal candidate must be able to obtain the necessary credentials for employment in New York’s medical and/or adult use cannabis programs; and ● Applicants may need to submit to a pre-employment background check that may include financial history.
