Job Overview
We are seeking an O&M Solar Field Technician to support the operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting inverters, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring optimal system performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial solar PV systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair string and central inverters.
- Diagnose electrical and system performance issues using monitoring platforms and testing equipment.
- Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning support for solar PV systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Complete maintenance reports and maintain accurate service records.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
- Travel to project sites as required.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in solar O&M, preferably on commercial or industrial PV systems.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting SMA, SolarEdge, Sungrow, Fronius, Solectria, or other string/central inverters.
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, PV equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- NABCEP certification and OSHA 10/30 are a plus.
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
