Schedule: Friday and Saturday Night

About the Role
As a Crisis Clinician, you’ll be on the front lines of crisis intervention, responding to calls, de-escalating high-stress situations, and connecting individuals with the care they need. Every day, you’ll provide culturally competent, trauma-informed support while embodying LifeWays’ mission, vision, and values.
This role is fast-paced, deeply rewarding, and vital to the wellbeing of our community.
What You’ll Do

Lead in the moment: Respond to crisis calls, assess risk, and determine the safest, most effective interventions.

Guide & support: Lead Mobile Crisis Aides and Peer Support Specialists during crisis responses.

Stabilize & connect: Develop safety plans, provide crisis counseling, and ensure warm handoffs to ongoing services.

Collaborate: Work closely with psychiatrists, hospitals, case holders, and community providers to secure the right care at the right time.

Empower clients: Teach coping skills, anger management, crisis de-escalation, and communication strategies.

Be flexible: Deliver services in diverse settings—from emergency rooms and schools to homes and community locations.

Required Education/Certification/Licensure
- Crisis Clinician I: Master’s degree. Limited Licensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Professional Counselor (LLPC), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP).
- Crisis Clinician II: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP).
- Crisis Clinician III: Master’s degree. Fully Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Fully Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Fully Licensed Psychologist (LP) and is Certified in Crisis Intervention.
- Must possess a valid U.S. motor vehicle operator’s license, and successfully complete motor vehicle record check.
Note: to work with children must meet qualifications as a CMHP per the MDHHS provider guidelines.
