ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Provide direct administrative supervision, coaching and performance feedback to Residential Associates (RAs), Medical Associates (MAs), and relief staff.
- Observe resident interactions, documentation practices and adherence to house rules. Deliver timely, constructive feedback to subordinates.
- Conduct onboarding, ongoing training and competency checks for subordinates on crisis de-escalation, trauma-informed care, medication pass, infection control, and safety protocols.
- Provide individual and group supervision every 30 days for RAs and MAs. Maintain clear, professional communication channels across all shifts.
- Draft, post, and continually adjust 24/7 staff schedule to ensure adequate coverage, approving PTO and arranging call-in replacements as needed.
- Oversee shift reports, incident logs, shift duties, medication administration records (MARs); verify accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor resident census and bed status, bed changes, and engagement in safety protocols.
- Track key performance indicators (e.g. occupancy, completion rates, incident trends) and prepare monthly summaries for leadership.
- Serve as first-line resource for on-shift questions, participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
- Lead facility safety inspections, emergency drills, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in human services, social sciences, or related field
- OR equivalent combination of education and SUD-specific experience
- Three (3) years direct experience in a substance-use-disorder treatment setting, including one (1) year in a supervisory or lead capacity
- Oregon CADC or Nursing license (LPN, RN) or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Tuberculosis screening
- Current (or obtain within 90 days of hire) CPR/First Aid, AVADE certification
Preferred:
- CADC-II or CADC-III
- Experience overseeing 24/7 residential operations and electronic health-record documentation
- Formal training in Trauma-Informed Care, Medication Service Level II, or CPI/Non-violent Crisis Intervention
