ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Patient Director is the "first impression of the practice." This position positively influences the patient experience by providing exceptional customer service, managing new patient experiences, coordinating the patients’ appointment flow, and maintain accurate patient records.
DAILY TASKS
- The Patient Director could also consider themselves the “director of first impressions”.
This person puts the patients’ experience first when considering all aspects of scheduling, communication, and practice operations.
- Manages incoming voicemails, emails, and text messages throughout the day.
- Assists with incoming calls.
- The manager of patients accounts – the Patient Director is responsible for uploading and inputting new patient data timely and accurately.
- Communicates same-day scheduling changes to the clinical team.
- Sees that all upcoming appointments are confirmed in accordance with the current office confirmation protocol.
- Liaison between doctor and the specialist referrals. The Patient Director is responsible for uploading specialist correspondence into the document center and images into Dexis, confirming that the next appointment is appropriately scheduled, and forwarding the specialist correspondence to doctor
- The Patient Director is the manager of the doctor’s schedule and works closely with doctor to learn her preferred scheduling methods and appointment lengths.
- If the doctor presents a large case presentation, the Patient Director is the preferred administrative staff member to be present for the consultation.
- Creates and manages a system to track unscheduled treatment.
- Works with the Financial Coordinator to create and submit all daily claims.
- Responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and requesting xrays from the previous dentist for new patients that you schedule.
WEEKLY
- Look a week ahead and email new patient forms to patients who have not yet completed their forms.
- Look a week ahead and verify that doctor’s appointments are accurately scheduled.
- Work with doctor to manage future marketing projects – social media, google posts, and DentrixHub email campaigns.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
