- The MS Therapist (Unlicensed) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing therapeutic services to clients under supervision, utilizing evidence-based approaches to support mental health and well-being. This role involves collaborating with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care and contribute to the development of treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake assessments to determine client needs and establish appropriate treatment goals.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions under the supervision of a licensed therapist.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising therapist and other team members.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
- Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment strategies.
- Stay informed about current best practices and developments in the field of mental health therapy.
- Assist in crisis intervention and management as needed.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
- Experience in providing therapeutic services in a mental health setting.
- Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and interventions.
- Experience working with diverse populations and individuals with varying mental health needs.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment modalities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
