The Human Resources Director serves as a strategic HR partner to community leadership teams across multiple LifeSpire communities. The Human Resources Director serves as a strategic HR partner to community leadership teams across multiple LifeSpire communities. Key Responsibilities
HR Team Leadership & Support
- Provide oversight, coaching, and development for community Human Resources teams.
- Interview, select, onboard, and manage direct reports.
- Establish performance expectations and monitor progress toward goals.
- Support HR team development through coaching, training, and growth opportunities.
- Serve as a resource for policy interpretation, HR best practices, and operational guidance.
- Provide interim HR Generalist or onboarding support when community staffing needs arise.
- Lead and oversee team member investigations and employee relations matters.
- Coach HR Generalists and leaders on appropriate investigation processes and documentation.
- Partner with managers on performance management, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
- Assist with escalated employee concerns, investigations, and performance improvement plans.
- Build strong working relationships that promote engagement, retention, and a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborate with community leaders to implement team member engagement initiatives.
- Support employee recognition programs, events, and retention strategies.
- Help foster a culture aligned with LifeSpire’s mission, vision, and values.
- Partner with leadership teams to strengthen morale and improve the overall employee experience.
- Monitor and analyze employee feedback and engagement data through We Care Connect.
- Identify trends and partner with leadership to develop action plans and measure outcomes.
- Ensure employee feedback notifications and follow-up processes are handled appropriately and timely.
- Prepare reports and HR metrics for Executive Directors and organizational leadership.
- Partner regularly with Executive Directors and Associate Executive Directors.
- Support organizational change initiatives through effective communication and change management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Participate in leadership development and continuous learning opportunities.
Required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, employment law, and HR best practices.
- Experience coaching leaders and supporting organizational change.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office applications, and workforce management tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.
- Experience supporting multiple locations or business units.
- Healthcare, senior living, or service industry experience.
