You will:
- Be a part of a team championing all phases of organ donor evaluation, from authorization to recovery.
- Optimize donor medical management, working closely with our clinical staff.
- Collaborate with medical leaders to maximize donation opportunities.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge policies and procedures.
- Provide critical care, ensuring the highest standards for our donors.
- Place invasive central and arterial lines as needed - with an opportunity to develop and/or maintain bronchoscopy skills.
- Offer 24-hour on-call support for donor evaluation and management.
- Lead educational efforts and build strong relationships with medical professionals.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or a related field for NPs; graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program for PAs.
- Active, unrestricted NP or PA license in the state of employment.
- Must have at least 3 years of critical care experience as a Nurse Practitioner or PA.
- A postgraduate fellowship in critical is a plus….There is no board certification in critical care for APRN/PA
- ACLS/PLS/PALS certification required within 6 months.
- Experience in organ procurement is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal skills for family interactions and professional collaborations.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as the need arises.
