Your Impact
As a Quality Systems Specialist – Tissue, you will:
- Review tissue donor records for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Identify and communicate documentation corrections to internal and external stakeholders
- Retrieve and organize medical records and supporting clinical documentation
- Maintain confidentiality of donor and recipient information
- Collaborate with hospitals, healthcare facilities, and recovery partners to obtain required information
- Support quality initiatives, process improvements, and Lean projects
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a healthcare, quality assurance, compliance, medical records, or other regulated environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and confidential records management
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to analyze information and exercise independent judgment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with demonstrated follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, healthcare, quality, or a related field
- Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of disease processes, anatomy, physiology, or donor evaluation
- Experience utilizing quality management software
- Experience in organ procurement, tissue recovery, tissue banking, transplantation, or other donation-related fields
- Experience participating in process improvement or Lean initiatives
