Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Production Associate and become a vital contributor to our innovative production processes! In this energetic role, you will be performing manufacturing, printing, packaging, and material handling activities associated with Building 5 operations. This position supports the production of printed packaging materials, flexible films, labels, pouches, and other manufacturing processes while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), company quality standards, customer specifications, and established production schedules.

The individual in this position will present a positive image of the organization while working collaboratively with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, Planning, and other departments to achieve production goals. The Building 5 Production Associate is responsible for operating assigned equipment, completing production documentation, performing quality inspections, maintaining housekeeping standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence.

This position requires flexibility to become cross-trained and proficient in all Building 5 production processes while supporting a culture of safety, compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Condition of employment requires thorough knowledge of and strict adherence to Current Good Manufacturing Practices (21 CFR Part 111), applicable FDA regulations, SOPs, sanitation requirements, food safety programs, quality standards, and company safety policies.
  • Weigh, stage, verify, and prepare raw materials according to approved batch records and production schedules.
  • Operate blending and other manufacturing equipment to produce powders, gummies, pet products, and pouch-filled products, including equipment setup, operation, cleaning, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Operate pet product extrusion and baking equipment while ensuring products meet established processing parameters and quality standards.
  • Perform all bottling and packaging line functions, including bottle loading, filling support, cotton insertion, capping, induction sealing, labeling, coding, inspections, case packing, palletizing, and packaging verification.
  • Complete in-process quality checks, manufacturing documentation, and batch records accurately in accordance with FDA current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), company procedures, and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Clean, sanitize, inspect, and maintain equipment and production areas to ensure compliance with sanitation, food safety, and GMP requirements.
  • Assist with equipment changeovers, startup, line clearance, and routine operational troubleshooting to support efficient production.
  • Immediately report quality, food safety, equipment, process, or safety concerns and assist in implementing corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Support internal and external audits by maintaining production areas in an inspection-ready condition and complying with established quality systems.
  • Safely operate authorized material handling equipment while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Guidelines:

Experience/Training/Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to complete cGMP, food safety and equipment training.

Knowledge Of:

  • Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Manufacturing processes used in dietary supplement production.
  • OSHA safety requirements and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Batch record documentation and manufacturing paperwork.
  • Basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment.
