Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Assistant role based in bethlehem, PA. The Maintenance Assistant will support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of LifePath facilities and equipment, including routine inspections and minor repairs. Daily responsibilities may include assisting with building repairs, performing basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks, and supporting preventive maintenance schedules. The role involves responding to maintenance requests, coordinating with vendors as needed, and ensuring that common areas, resident spaces, and program sites are clean, safe, and compliant with organizational standards. The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the maintenance supervisor , facilities Manager and program staff to prioritize tasks and minimize disruptions to services.

Qualifications
- Ability to perform building maintenance tasks, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Skills in equipment maintenance and general maintenance for facility systems and tools.
- Experience with preventive maintenance routines, inspections, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff, residents, vendors, and supervisors.
- Basic understanding of safety practices, OSHA guidelines, and safe use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift moderate weights, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
- Reliable time management, attention to detail, and the ability to follow work orders and organizational procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior maintenance or facilities experience in residential or human services settings is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between local program sites as needed.
