POSITON TITLE: Mental Health Case Manager – Jail Services
Non-Exempt Position
RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Director
MAJOR DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES
Under the supervision of the Program Director and Program Supervisor, the Mental Health Case Manager provides community-based behavioral health, care coordination, and re-entry support services to participants. The position requires independent judgment, effective collaboration, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, or a closely related field preferred.
- Washington State Department of Health credential required or ability to obtain and maintain required credentialing.
- Minimum of one year of paid or volunteer experience working with individuals experiencing mental health, substance use, co-occurring disorders, or related behavioral health conditions.
- Working knowledge of behavioral health recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and participant-centered service delivery.
- Familiarity with applicable Washington State behavioral health regulations, including RCW 71.05 and WAC 246-341.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee (SUDPT) credential.
- Experience providing re-entry, care coordination, case management, or community behavioral health services.

POSITION COMPLEXITY
This position serves participants with diverse backgrounds and complex behavioral health, substance use, medical, housing, legal, and social service needs. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, adaptability, independent decision-making, and the ability to coordinate services across multiple systems while maintaining participant engagement and regulatory compliance.

Salary: $23.98 - 26.36/hr DOE
