Gate Monitor

Job Title: Pool Gate Monitor
Season: May – September
Reports To: District Supervisor

Position Summary
The Pool Gate Monitor is responsible for monitoring the facility entrance to prevent unauthorized access and assisting with general facility upkeep. This position ensures that only authorized community members enter the facility while helping maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests. This role does not serve as a lifeguard in any capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the facility entrance and ensure only authorized patrons access the facility.

• Enforce all facility related rules and regulations at the facility entrance.

• Maintain constant awareness of activity at the entry point.

• Report any unsafe facility conditions or issues to the District Supervisor.

• Complete required records and reports (smartphone strongly recommended).

• Assist with general facility cleanliness, including:

  • Emptying trash

  • Cleaning restrooms

  • Skimming and vacuuming the pool

  • General upkeep of facility areas

• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.

• Provide courteous and helpful customer service to patrons.

• Attend all scheduled shifts.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

You must be at least 16 years old to apply for this position. Pay rate is dependent on location and experience.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor facility access.

• Ability to follow and enforce facility rules and policies.

• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Access to a smartphone for completing required reports is strongly recommended.

Schedule

This is a seasonal position from May through September. Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Weekly hours may vary based on facility needs.
