Job Summary/Purpose: 

Performs sonography procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision or technical detail, performs variety of procedures that require independent judgement. Provides complete and quality service to physicians and patients. Demonstrates good clinical skills and Judgement.

Pay: $35.91 to $52.07USD

Sign on bonus available: $5,000.00 USD 

Essential Key Job Responsibilities:

· Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examination

· Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identity, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images

· Reviews patient charts & Doctor’s notes before examination.  Confirming patient identification with 2 identifiers.

· Uses independent judgment during the sonographic exam to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings

· Analyses sonograms, synthesize sonographic information, medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician

· Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental, and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer’s care

· Maintains changes and history in the EMR & PACS

· Performs all requested sonographic examinations as ordered by the attending physician. 

· Prepares preliminary reports and contacts referring physicians when required

· Reports equipment failures to Director

· Ensures proper sterilization of probes & storage of equipment

· Maintains adequate supplies & linens

· Enters medication used in EMR
