Responsibilities
As a member of our Front Office team, you will:
- Welcome patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and compassion.
- Check patients in and out for appointments.
- Collect co-pays and verify demographic and insurance information.
- Schedule appointments for medical, dental, and behavioral health providers.
- Coordinate provider schedules with the Practice Manager.
- Answer incoming phone calls and route messages appropriately.
- Assist patients with registration forms and kiosk check-in.
- Educate patients about the patient portal and assist with enrollment.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Process medical record requests while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Cross-train in all front office functions to support the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Computer proficiency and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare setting
Preferred
- Two years of medical or dental front office experience
- Associate degree or certification in Medical Office, Medical Assisting, or Dental Assisting may substitute for experience
- BLS Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
