Northwest Hospital is seeking a licensed First Grade Stationary Engineer to join our daytime engineering operations team. This is not a back-of-house, isolated boiler room role. This position is forward-facing, highly collaborative, and essential to hospital operations.
You’ll play a critical role in keeping our utilities infrastructure safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance in a busy acute care hospital environment.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct daily inspections of boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, and associated utility systems
- Monitor, log, and trend equipment readings to proactively prevent failures
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Troubleshoot and respond to operational issues quickly and effectively
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, leadership, and clinical teams to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate documentation to support regulatory compliance and operational excellence

What We’re Looking For
- Maryland First Grade Stationary Engineer’s License (required)
- 5 years of central plant or hospital utilities experience
- Strong troubleshooting ability and attention to detail
- Professional presence with the ability to interact with patients, staff, and leadership
- High energy, customer-focused mindset
