Summary
JOB SUMMARY: Performs ultrasound sonographic procedures in accordance with established procedures. Demonstrates age appropriate care towards all customers. Consistently demonstrates competence in performing all ultrasound techniques and examinations with special attention to abdominal, retroperitoneal and vascular scans. Assists with minor Ultrasound invasive procedures (cyst aspiration and biopsies). Obtains and relays information related to exam. Educates patients about exams, adjusting to patient/staffing needs. Provides support to Ultrasound Department to aid workflow.
REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Graduate of an AMA Accredited school of Ultrasound. Less than 1 year of experience. American Heart Association CPR Certification, ARDMS Certified or board eligible. Board certified within 1 year of hire.
