About the Role:
Manages all aspects of clinical care coordination to deliver optimal patient care and achieve strategic goals. Provides administrative management and clinical operational direction, as applicable, to advance practice providers (APP) in collaboration with Director and lead-APP, nurse coordinators and other medical group clinical personnel. Coordinates daily clinical operations and supports on-going problem resolution. As applies to the particular department, is responsible for implementing all aspects of the hospital utilization management plan in collaboration with administration, medical/surgical staff, and other health care team members. Establishes tools, processes, and systems to optimize department effectiveness and meet strategic goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides overall direction, addresses operational needs of care coordination team members and advance practice providers. Maintains basic nursing skills as required by specialty area(s).
- Promotes cooperative behaviors and effectively collaborates with members of the health care team.
- Participates in the interviewing, hiring and orientation of registered nurses and other medical group clinical staff
- Conducts/manages training for new associates and ensures clinical competency validation of new staff.
- Provides counseling/corrective action and conducts employee terminations when required.
- Provides leadership and support to administrative staff and clinical staff.
- Knowledgeable about current regulatory standards governing patient care and ensures that nursing and other clinical staff carry out patient care according to those standards
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: BS Degree in Nursing, Master's Degree preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse License - Current Maryland license or eligibility to obtain Maryland license, American Heart Association BLS CPR, PALS and APHON required within first year of hire
- Experience: 5-7 years of experience
- Required to travel to other clinical sites.
Salary : $47 - $73
