Summary
Performs moderate and high complexity clinical laboratory tests in one or more of the following disciplines: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Manual Procedures, and Automated Procedures.
Responsibilities
Performs automated, semi-automated, or manual laboratory testing. Determines acceptability of specimens and reagents. Follows department approved standard operating procedures. Performs within established guidelines in a timely manner. Operates equipment and instrumentation necessary for testing. Evaluates specimens for acceptability and documents misidentified, mislabeled, and inappropriate specimens. Identifies and solves pre-analytical problems.
Experience: Required: * 3-5 years
Education: Required: * Associate's Degree Licenses And Certification:
* Medical Laboratory Technician Must pass certification exam within 1 year of hire
