About the Role:
Ensures overall management of self pay receivables by working with patient, responsible party, Power of Attorney, guardians on a proactive approach to ensure cash flow and reduce bad debt
Key Responsibilities:
- Collection of Patient Responsibility After Insurance
- Collection of True Self-Pay Balances (No Insurance Involvement)
- Financial Counseling
- External Legal Coordination and Case Referrals
- Bad Debt and Charity Care Write-Offs
- Handling Legal and Medical Record Correspondence
Requirements:
- Education: HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Experience: 1-3 years of related experience in managing private balancing on accounts receivables and experience in collections involving calling customers to collect past due balances.
