Role Description This full-time, on-site Licensed Mental Health Counselor role is based in DeLand, FL. The counselor provides individual and, when appropriate, relationship-focused counseling, conducts intake assessments, and develops individualized treatment plans aligned with client needs and goals. Daily responsibilities include facilitating therapy sessions, monitoring client progress, updating clinical documentation, and coordinating case management activities as needed. The role involves collaborating with other providers and community resources, maintaining ethical and professional standards, and participating in ongoing professional development to support high-quality, client-centered care.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Treatment Planning and Case Management to design, implement, and coordinate effective care plans.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Mental Health and Psychology to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of emotional and behavioral concerns.
- Candidates should possess skills in Relationship Counseling to support clients with interpersonal, family, and partner-related challenges.
- Active state licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (or equivalent license) in Florida, or eligibility to obtain licensure promptly.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related mental health field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain clear and accurate clinical records.
