Position overview

The Licensed Psychologist provides virtual, in-office, or hybrid mental health services with a focus on Clinical Health Psychology and/or Neuropsychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations, and Psychotherapy for all ages. Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations can only be done in-office.

Position type

W-2 employees preferred. Independent contractor role for virtual only employees.

Compensation

Payment Terms: Bi-weekly direct deposit

Initial Compensation:

Psychotherapy Intake: $85

Each completed and collected psychotherapy session: $80

Neuropsychological Interview: $100

Neuropsychological Standard Evaluation : $500

Neuropsychological Comprehensive Evaluation : $600

***Compensated for interview, interpretation, report writing, and feedback (not for psychometrist/technician time unless doing own testing)

Productivity Model Compensation:

After 30 completed and collected sessions per week for 8 consecutive weeks, psychotherapy session rate increases to $85 and psychotherapy intake increases to $90.

Average of 8 completed and collected neuropsychological evaluations per month for 6 consecutive months, standard evaluation rate increases to $550. Average of 10 completed and collected neuropsychological evaluations per month for 6 consecutive months, standard evaluation rate increases to $600.

Scope of services

Neuropsychological and psychological evaluations

• Administer, score, and interpret a range of neuropsychological and psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, intellectual, and functional status
• Conduct clinical interviews and utilize the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR) for comprehensive patient evaluations
• Facilitate feedback sessions with patients and/or their families to discuss assessment results, offer recommendations, and provide relevant referrals
• Maintain expertise in current methodologies, evidence-based interventions, and best practices within behavioral health

and/or

Psychotherapy

• Collaborate with healthcare providers to improve both the accessibility and quality of care for patients
• Conduct clinical interviews to assess patients’ mental health, establishing accurate clinical diagnoses in accordance with DSM-5-TR criteria
• Coordinate patient referrals to ensure timely access to appropriate resources and specialized services
• Develop and facilitate group therapy programs designed to meet the specific needs of various patient populations
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, summaries, and discharge notes
• Perform risk assessments and crisis interventions, guiding patients in creating effective safety plans
• Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group psychotherapy, employing a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet each patient’s needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals

Qualifications

Education and experience

Required:

• A commitment to ongoing professional development
• A doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from a program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) (Doctor of Philosophy_Ph.D. or Doctor of Psychology_Psy.D.)
• General clinical skills in various evidence-based methods for assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing treatment within a patient-centered approach
• Licensed as a psychologist in Florida or in a state that is part of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT)
• Experience in delivering mental health services remotely and in-office
• Strong cultural competence, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and to respect cultural differences

Preferred:

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for evaluations and therapy
• Experience in clinical supervision, mentorship, training
• Proficiency in some of commonly used evidence-based modalities, including but not limited to: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CBT-CP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
• Specialization in Clinical Health Psychology and/or Neuropsychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations

Technical skills

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and virtual session setups
• Strong skills in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Teams) and Google Workspace (Calendar, Docs, Sheets)
• Knowledge of medical billing (billing insurance for psychological and neuropsychological services) and invoicing

Communication and interpersonal skills

Licensed clinicians are compensated on a per-service basis. Full-time clinicians who maintain an established caseload of approximately 25–30 completed sessions per week can reasonably expect to earn approximately $90,000–$110,000 annually, with opportunities for increased compensation based on sustained productivity and practice growth.

• An interest in mental health of all ages
