Montessori Teaching Assistant
Full Time | Tampa, Florida
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Salary: $30,000–$35,000 (based on experience)
About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, engaged Montessori Teaching Assistant who brings a calm presence, strong work ethic, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active in the classroom, working closely with students, and participating in both indoor and outdoor learning experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Support the Lead Teacher in preparing materials and guiding lessons
- Help maintain a calm, organized, and beautiful classroom environment
- Observe students and support individual learning needs
- Work with students in small groups and one-on-one in literacy, math, and practical life
- Model grace, courtesy, and respect in all interactions
- Assist with daily classroom routines and transitions
- Participate in outdoor learning experiences, including gardening and nature-based activities
- Design and support hands-on art and simple science-based projects
- Confidently lead the classroom and maintain continuity of learning when the Lead Teacher is absent
- Collaborate closely with the teaching team
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Experience in a Montessori or classroom setting preferred
- Genuine interest in Montessori philosophy and child-led learning
- Energetic, patient, and observant
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, especially in preparing and maintaining classroom materials
- Creative and artistic, with the ability to design hands-on art and science projects.
- Confident in taking initiative and leading when needed
- Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Eager to learn and grow (training and professional development provided)
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
