Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support classroom teachers and enhance student learning experiences. The ideal candidate will assist with instructional activities, provide individual support to students, especially those with special needs, and help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment. This role is vital in fostering the academic and social development of children across various educational settings, including early childhood education, private schools, and Montessori programs.
Duties
- Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom activities in subjects such as literacy education, math, and behavior management.
- Support students with disabilities or special needs, including working with individuals with autism and implementing behavior management strategies.
- Provide one-on-one tutoring or mentoring to students requiring additional help in reading, writing, or other core subjects.
- Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior to promote a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, recess, or lunch periods.
- Assist with preparing educational materials and proofreading instructional content for accuracy and clarity.
- Foster positive relationships with students through effective communication skills and encouragement.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
- Support early childhood development initiatives by engaging children in age-appropriate activities aligned with Montessori or other educational philosophies.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices, childhood development, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, tutoring, and mentoring techniques.
- Background in early childhood education or private school experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage classroom routines efficiently while maintaining a nurturing environment.
- Proven organizational skills including proofreading educational materials for accuracy.
