Manager of Recovery Services - Night Shift

Job Summary

The Manager of Recovery Services is responsible for the day to day supervision of donor screening, evaluation, authorization, clinical management and surgical recovery of organ donors per LCO/OPTN policy. This individual assists in the development and implementation of policies and procedures in collaboration with fellow Life Connection leadership. Working in conjunction with the Director of Recovery Services directly supervises clinical staff and monitors their performance and competency. The Manager of Recovery Services participates in daily oversite of clinical operations. Considerable travel and on call responsibilities are integral parts of the position.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duty or Function

• Develops clinical staffing for Recovery Services, provides direction and counseling to staff. Responsible for the development and performance of orientation, training, and evaluation of clinical staff members.
• Has oversight of clinical operations and performance; with emphasis on procurement policies and procedures, clinical policy implementation, and adherence with LCO policies, CMS regulations, AOPO standards, and UNOS requirements.
• Performs Administrative On Call duties for referral, import, clinical management, allocation, and Operating Room activities, to ensure policy and procedure / regulatory compliance oversight of active donation cases
• Fulfills the responsibilities of the Director of Recovery Services in his/her absence and may perform other duties as required.
• Performs and monitors clinical hospital development activities in collaboration with the Director of Recovery Services and Director of Hospital Services.
• Held accountable to key performance indicators as outlined within the LCO strategic plan.
