Provides administrative direction to the Hospital Services team to maximize donation potential in assigned hospitals. Sets the overall tone and direction of hospital development efforts by Life Connection of Ohio (LCO) staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Essential Duty Or Function
- Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct and interpersonal relationship development; promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Manages the Life Connection of Ohio hospital development program. Ensures hospital education programs and marketing activities are in support of the donation process in all hospitals within the LCO service area and are designed to create and maintain a positive image and presence for LCO.
- Through evaluation of hospital performance data, and guided by LCO policy, assists staff in developing tailored hospital strategic plans for each hospital and oversees implementation of plans to ensure all goals and needs are met.
- Evaluate department performance and establish measurable goals to ensure the organization is maximizing the donation opportunities in our hospitals.
- Ensures all LCO service-area hospital policies are supportive of organ donation and tissue donation. In collaboration with the Quality Department, develops methods and tools to assess donor potential and prioritize hospital service efforts.
- Provides direct supervision to and Hospital Donation Specialist. Provides indirect supervision to all LCO employees who perform hospital development.
- Coordinates professional growth of assigned staff. Recommends recruitment of potential staff applicants; counsels, reviews performance of assigned staff.
- Participates in field observation to provide feedback to hospital donation specialists.
- Establishes and maintains process improvement and data development projects.
- In collaboration with the Director of Hospital Services, directs the training and development assigned staff to retain motivated professional workforce for LCO.
- Establishes and maintains positive and effective communication tools with medical professionals and hospital leadership.
- Directs the training and development of assigned staff to retain a motivated professional workforce for LCO. Develops and maintains the training plan and competencies for the team.
- Maintains current knowledge of industry standards and changes in industry regulations and communicates the changes with staff and leadership.
- Held accountable to donation rates as outlined within the LCO strategic plan.
- Fulfills additional individual and departmental directives, obligations and responsibilities, as designated.

- Develops and maintains oversight of intradepartmental training and education, including preceptorship, case study presentation, and learning event participation.
Salary : $84,302 - $105,373
