Duties
- Safely operate a school or transit van, adhering to all traffic laws and transportation safety regulations
- Transport students to designated after-school locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures
- Assist students with wheelchair assistance and other mobility needs, maintaining their safety and dignity
- Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including CPR and first aid protocols when necessary
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and emergency responders to coordinate pickups and address concerns
- Conduct vehicle inspections before each shift, checking mechanical condition and safety features
- Respond quickly to traffic changes or delays, adjusting routes as needed to maintain schedule integrity
Requirements
- Willing to complete required transportation training
- Valid Driver's License
- Background check
- CA/N child abuse check
- Willing to get CPR training
