Summary:
Life Care Community is seeking a dedicated and certified Job Coach to join our Supported Employment team. The Job Coach will work directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to provide workplace training, guidance, and advocacy. This role fosters independence, promotes workplace success, and helps individuals fully engage in their communities.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-the-job training and coaching tailored to each supported employee’s goals and strengths.
- Collaborate with employers and team members to ensure clear expectations and successful outcomes.
- Assist with developing work readiness skills, including communication, following directions, task progression, and time management.
- Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust coaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and feedback for supervisors and team members.
- Promote inclusion, self-advocacy, and independence in the workplace.
- Ensure compliance with Life Care Community policies, state regulations, and workplace safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- ACRE Certification (required) in Employment Services / Job Coaching.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in supported employment, job coaching, or human services preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain professional and calm in challenging situations.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (required for travel between job sites).
- Must pass background check and meet all employment requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and travel between job sites for extended periods
- Ability to assist individuals in the workplace as needed
