Safety Consultant — Construction (On-Site, Blythewood, SC)
Life and Safety Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Consultant for a full-time, on-site engagement supporting a construction client in Blythewood, South Carolina.

Engagement Details
- Term: September 2026 – May 2027
- Location: On-site, client in Blythewood, South Carolina
- Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Compensation: Competitive / DOE
What You'll Do
- Serve as the on-site EH&S authority, recognizing hazards and driving corrective action in real time
- Conduct daily jobsite inspections and audits to ensure OSHA and regulatory compliance
- Lead toolbox talks, safety orientations, and ongoing training for site personnel
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and recommend preventive measures
- Partner with site leadership and trade crews to maintain a strong, proactive safety culture
- Maintain records, reports, and documentation required for the engagement
Qualifications
You must meet the following:
- Qualified to recognize EH&S hazards
- Authority to take corrective action
- Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- "Competent Person" level training in relevant areas of expertise (excavation, electrical safety, etc.)
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction card
- An academic degree in safety plus 3 years of full-time construction safety experience, OR a minimum of 5 years of work history as a construction safety manager
Preferred:
- G. CSP, ASP, or CHST designation
