Responsibilities
- Safely operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles of all types.
- Perform vehicle recovery towing with precision, adhering to cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting, minor mechanical repairs, and automotive diagnostics to assess the condition of vehicles needing assistance.
- Load and unload vehicles using safe vehicle loading techniques, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Assist customers professionally by providing clear communication, support during stressful situations, and exceptional customer service.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures during driving, cargo securement, and vehicle recovery operations.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports for record-keeping purposes.
- Must have Active Commercial Insurance
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving and car towing with a valid driver’s license.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with automotive diagnostics and minor mechanical repair skills.
- Familiarity with flatbed tow trucks, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic vehicle issues quickly and accurately.
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of cargo securement protocols to ensure safe transportation of vehicles.
- Customer service orientation with clear communication skills to assist clients effectively.
- Experience operating forklifts or other heavy equipment is a plus but not required.
