Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of vehicles including box trucks and courier vans in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe driving practices
- Load, unload, and secure cargo using appropriate manual handling techniques such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Assist customers with moving belongings, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage or injury
- Follow designated routes efficiently while maintaining punctuality for deliveries or pickups
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and courteously with clients during deliveries or pickups
- Support warehouse activities by organizing inventory, preparing shipments, and performing heavy lifting with proper techniques
Qualifications
- Prior warehouse experience or moving experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus
- Experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles with manual transmission is desirable
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial driving and weight handling in the workplace
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following safe lifting practices
- Strong manual handling skills including the use of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment as needed
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude during interactions with clients and team members
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and perform manual labor tasks throughout the shift
