Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Movers & Driver to join our dynamic team! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting, loading, and unloading goods while providing exceptional customer service. Your enthusiasm and attention to safety will ensure smooth operations as you help clients move their belongings efficiently and securely. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your driving skills, manual handling expertise, and customer interaction experience in a fast-paced environment. We are also seeking, helpers, crew leaders and foremen (No experience needed-we will train).
Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks and commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload household or commercial items using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Assist customers with their moving needs by providing friendly, professional service during pickup and delivery.
- Follow established route plans, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Properly load and unload items, utilizing safe lifting practices and heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation using mobile devices or electronic systems for tracking purposes.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving or courier services is a plus.
- Experience operating box trucks or vehicles with manual transmissions preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, and material handling equipment operation such as pallet jacks.
- Familiarity with route driving, adhering to traffic regulations, and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations for commercial drivers.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for navigation, documentation, and communication during routes.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift heavy items repeatedly, and perform manual handling safely throughout the workday.
