Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The Assistant Teacher will play a vital role in the development and growth of each child, ensuring that their individual needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and executing daily lesson plans that align with curriculum goals.
- Engage with children in activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting lessons and providing individualized attention.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior, providing feedback to lead teachers.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive community.
- Participate in curriculum development and contribute ideas for innovative teaching strategies.
- Help manage classroom activities, including transitions between lessons and outdoor playtime.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in daycare or educational settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with Early Childhood Education philosophies is a plus.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, and toddler care is a must.
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when needed.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, and colleagues.
