JOB TITLE: TEST TECHNICIAN
DEPARTMENT: TEST
PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:
Troubleshoot PCBs and other electronic/electrical assemblies to the component level. Support manufacturing schedule with setup of test process, training and in-process troubleshooting to prevent production stragglers. Perform technical analysis and coordination of repair/upgrade for external and internal RMA’s.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Responsible for carrying out the duties listed below in a proficient, orderly manner while maintaining a positive attitude and solid attendance record.
- Coordinate technical analysis, repair and upgrade activities for internal and external RMA’s.
- Troubleshoot, to component level, electronic assemblies using test procedures, customer specification, and schematics.
- Train Test Operators in the performance of Functional or ICT Test
- Maintain accurate records in Macola, support databases, and support documentation including: labeling, marking, Certifications, etc…
- Reliably produce quality workmanship consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
- Pass IPC certification for CIS including all Libra required modules.
- Able to follow written instructions and provide feedback as to how to improve those instructions.
- Perform other tasks as assigned within the qualifications and training received.
EDUCATION EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum two year associate degree in electronics, one year direct electronic/troubleshooting experience or 5 years practical experience in related field.
- Successful results on written in-house Technician Test.
- Adept at Microsoft Office Suite and Windows file manipulation.
- IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE PREFFERED:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Frequent lifting of 10 to 15 pounds, Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds.
- Occasional pushing wheeled cart and product weighing 30-40 pounds.
- Sitting 80% of time, Standing 20% of time.
- Able to pass eye exams as required to meet the demands of the products built.
