Position Summary
We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team and support the development of dry air and nitrogen generation systems. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with 0–2 years of experience. You will work closely with senior engineers and technicians to assist in system design, layout, component selection, and testing, while gaining hands-on experience in product development and industrial gas technology. This position is an On-site position, in Waukesha, WI.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and model mechanical assemblies and system layouts using CAD software (Fusion, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
· Perform basic engineering calculations for pressure drop, flow capacity, and thermal performance.
· Support the selection and integration of system components such as compressors, filters, dryers, regulators, valves, and sensors.
· Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation including P&IDs, BOMs, assembly drawings, and specifications.
· Collaborate with the engineering team to develop basic control logic, interface layouts, and system monitoring.
· Participate in prototype assembly, functional testing, and validation of production systems.
· Support root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvements.
· Ensure designs adhere to applicable industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., ASME, CSA, ISO).
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent field).
· 0–2 years of relevant engineering experience (internships, co-ops, or capstone projects acceptable).
· Working knowledge of compressed air, gas systems, or fluid mechanics preferred.
· Experience with 3D CAD modeling and drafting (Fusion, SolidWorks, or similar).
· Understanding of core engineering principles including thermodynamics and fluid flow.
· Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
· Exposure to PSA or membrane nitrogen generation technology.
· Familiarity with Modbus communication, PLC programming, or HMI design.
· Understanding of compliance standards such as CSA B51, NFPA 70/79, or UL/CE marking.
· Experience with system prototyping, field installations, or test procedures.
