Structural Steel Truck Loader

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Truck Loader to join our team in a fast-paced steel fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently loading trucks, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and accurately. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with management staff to meet shipping deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Load trucks using appropriate materials handling equipment, including operating a forklift for side load only.
• Follow detailed load list to insure all items are on the truck.
• Working directly with management to obtain shipping dates so you can schedule trucks to make deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a steel fabrication setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with materials handling equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in order fulfillment.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely, following proper lifting techniques.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
