What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welder/Fitter position at Liberty Steel?
- Starting pay based on experience and skill.
- Be able to read a tape measure.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements to plan layouts.
- Weld components mostly in flat positions.
- Follow strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, safety glasses, safety-toed shoes, etc.
- Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.
- Work week typically Mon-Thurs 10hr shifts 5 AM - 3:30 PM
- Overtime available and sometimes required.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
- A valid certificate in welding from an accredited institution is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of welding machinery, electrical equipment, and manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
Drug screening and background check are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
