The Position: We are looking for an Assistant Storeroom Supervisor to help manage and direct the hourly workforce in the Steel Works and occasionally in the Wire Mill Storerooms when needed.

Responsibilities:
· Help Storeroom supervisor lead the hourly workforce mainly in the Steel Mill and occasionally in the Wire Mill Storeroom Department (7 employees in Steel Mill and 5 employees in Wire Mill).
· Provide direction regarding performance for all storeroom employees and ensure all are properly trained for their position.
· Oversee that all employees have all the proper required safety equipment and are properly trained.
· Establish operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling, and disposition of merchandise and keeping of warehouse inventory.
· Maintain inventory accuracy in the storeroom by processing proper transactions and reviewing data to verify $30 million in inventory.
· Participate in the process for new storeroom stock items and stock jobs.
· Identify and investigate discrepancies concerning inventory records.
· Comply with various audits as needed providing insight and transaction documentation as needed.
· Monitor storeroom items for effective stock levels and perform system transactions as needed to expense and reconcile inventory.
· Effectively communicate with both external and internal personnel.
· Work with operations personnel to ensure stock levels are accurate and inventoried as scheduled.
· Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one-year related experience and/or training. Previous experience in Stores, Purchasing, or mill foreman is preferred.
· Previous mill maintenance or production experience would be helpful.
· Must be capable of using personal computers and effectively using Microsoft software.
· Strong mathematical skills are a plus due to the inventories changing daily and having the ability to count and adjust as needed based on those.
Salary Range: $56,825 - $60,000 (SG 20)
Discretionary Target Bonus: 7%
