We're looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily operations within our Wire Mill facility. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring machinery and equipment run safely, smoothly, and efficiently.
π§ What You'll Do
β Lead and direct hourly maintenance craft personnel on daily assignments and project work
β Prioritize and manage evolving work schedules and tasks in a fast-paced, 24/7 facility
β Ensure timely and safe completion of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks
β Promote a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement
β Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Vendors, and Union personnel to resolve issues and meet plant performance goals
β Maintain high standards for housekeeping, scrap control, and process efficiency
π οΈ What We're Looking For
πΉ Experience: 2-5 years in industrial mechanical maintenance with leadership/supervisory background
πΉ Proven supervisory experience in a unionized environment
πΉ Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints and schematics
πΉ Ability to interpret maintenance manuals, procedures, and safety rules
πΉ Must pass physical, drug screening, and background check
πΉ Education: High school diploma or GED required; technical training/certifications a plus
πΉ Expertise:
β’ Strong knowledge of heavy industrial mechanical & electrical systems
β’ Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints
β’ Hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
β’ Working knowledge of MS Office & maintenance software systems
πΉ Mindset:
β’ Assertive, goal-oriented, and safety-conscious
β’ Capable of multitasking and maintaining a sense of urgency
β’ Strong organizational and communication skills
