Inside Sales Representatives (ISR) I
(ISR) Contribution:
Inside Sales Representatives contributes to territory management by being responsible for cold calling, prospecting and building relationships that will increase account penetration, revenue growth and customer satisfaction within a specified product line, business segment and/or geography. Focus areas will include driving new business as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts. ISR will work closely with Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to develop and manage their sales strategy and approach in order to generate new business in targeted markets. Maintain effective relationships with internal partners, area field reps, and operations support teams.
What is expected from an ISR to be successful in their role:
- Demonstrates working industry knowledge that may include the following: key competitors, terminology, technology, trends, and challenges; demonstrates basic knowledge of customers' unique business needs.
- Participates in the development of principles of territory management, including: account planning, selling processes, post-sales implementation processes, order processing.
- Ability to work independently and with minimum amount of supervision. Ability to proactively set priorities and objectives, plan and organize time/activities. Ability to stay motivated to consistently maintain above level quota performance.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks with concentration, speed, and accuracy to meet requirements. Strong organizational skills and capability of managing multiple tasks
- Ability to analyze, develop, and make sound business decisions with minimal supervision. Prepares savings analysis for dealers orders. Identifies problem areas and recommends ways to improve efficiency. Perform research on Liberty Safe competitors and their offerings and sharing information through the proper channels.
- Willing and able to travel as needed
What is expected of an ISR in Direct Sales for functional success:
- Applies knowledge of the customer's business to develop optimal solutions
- Work as part of a team and participate in the company’s overall strategic sales goals.
- Responsible for meeting or exceeding monthly sales quota in assigned region.
- Effectively negotiates and collaborates with the customer to influence a mutually beneficial outcome and achieve agreement in all areas of sales
- Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers and ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through mutual relationships
- Track and provide reporting for Liberty Safe management detailing call activity, pipeline updates and lead generation results.
- Responsible for providing reports on sales activity, sales forecasts and other quantifiable sales objective measurements.
Accountabilities for an ISR:
- Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
- Facilitating team selling opportunities within specific accounts and attaining sales
- Establishing gross profit goals for respective territory or region
- Resolving customer questions/concerns with appropriate personnel
- Managing sales order cost and pricing, strives to reduce aged receivables and improve pricing accuracy for overall territory
- Managing sales territory by servicing existing customers, growing the business within the existing accounts and cultivating new customers
- Become an expert in Liberty Safe products and technology
Other Duties:
- Making out bound phone calls to dealers in specified regions
- Respond to emails and other messages in a timely fashion
- Following up with E-commerce sales to make sure sale has been completed satisfactory
- Process foundation program claims
- Inform dealers of promotions
- Inform dealers of product or process changes
- Provide technical support as needed to dealers
- Participate in regular sales team meetings to review sales performance against objectives and targets.
- Other Duties as assigned
Growth and Development Expectations:
As part of future development for an ISR-I position this person must be willing to invest time and talents into Liberty Safe to grow into a role of a Regional Sales Manager. An ISR must be willing to travel occasionally with a Regional Sales Manager, attend trade shows throughout the year and must be willing and able to relocate to a sales territory that becomes open. Must be able to perform other duties related to a Regional Sales Manager position such as writing business plans for individual key dealers and cold calling to potential new dealers in a targeted area.
Skills Required:
- Minimum two years experience in sales and/or customer service
- Thorough understanding of the company’s strategic direction and programs
- Good PC skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Team oriented (able to work well with others in a team environment)
- Results oriented (proven history of results, achievement of objectives, adding value to the company)

- Excellent organization skills, ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to respond and resolve common inquiries, and communicate with dealers. Ability to speak effectively on the telephone and in person. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from dealers.
- Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to perform well under stress when confronted with emergency, critical, unusual, or dangerous situations.
