Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Field Execution
- Lead and scale a national field service organization supporting electrical power equipment installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency troubleshooting.
- Establish standardized field service procedures for switchgear, UPS, PDU, transformer, ATS, and generator systems, ensuring consistent execution across all regions.
- Drive continuous improvement in service reliability, safety performance, and technical quality.
- Maintain executive-level technical command of low- and medium-voltage electrical systems, including power distribution, protection schemes, control systems, and redundancy architectures.
- Oversee field diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex electrical failures involving power continuity, load transfer, synchronization, and system protection.
- Ensure all maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting activities comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and safety requirements.
- Act as the executive escalation point for critical power incidents, outages, and complex service challenges.
- Partner with customers to develop long-term electrical power maintenance strategies, lifecycle service plans, and reliability programs.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless transition from equipment delivery to long-term service support.
- Own field service P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Establish and track KPIs including response time, first-time fix rate, service margin, utilization, safety metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Optimize staffing, tooling, training, and inventory strategies to support high-availability service delivery.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop field service managers, engineers, and technicians with strong electrical power and troubleshooting expertise.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and uncompromising safety.
- Ensure continuous training on evolving power technologies, maintenance practices, and customer requirements.
Required
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in field service or technical operations supporting electrical power systems.
- Demonstrated expertise with electrical switchgear, UPS systems, PDUs, transformers, automatic transfer switches (ATS), generators, and complete power distribution infrastructure.
- Strong background in electrical power maintenance, commissioning, testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting in mission-critical environments.
- Proven success leading geographically distributed service teams and complex field operations.
- Financial acumen with P&L ownership and operational budgeting responsibility.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage executive customers and technical teams alike.
- Electrical Engineering or related technical degree.
- Experience supporting data centers, utilities, industrial facilities, or other mission-critical power environments.
- Familiarity with protective relaying, power monitoring, redundancy architectures, and service management systems.
- Track record of scaling and professionalizing a field service organization.
