Structural Engineer

Our local engineering client is seeking to add a Structural Engineer to support the design and delivery of commercial, institutional, and industrial building projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support structural design efforts through all project phases
• Develop structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Design building structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
• Analyze gravity, lateral, and foundation loading conditions
• Coordinate with internal multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors
• Review shop drawings and respond to construction-related RFIs
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, quality standards, and project requirements
• Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 5 years of structural design experience
• EIT or PE Licensed
• Experience designing commercial/institutional building structures
• Strong understanding of structural systems, building codes, and value engineering
• Proficiency with Revit
