Senior Water/Wastewater Process Engineer

We are a leading architecture & engineering firm seeking a motivated Senior Process Engineer to join our Treatment Practice. You will lead design and optimization of water & wastewater treatment facilities for municipal and industrial clients.

What you’ll do:

• Drive business development: prepare proposals, define project scope, pitch to clients
• Communicate with clients to assess needs, propose technical solutions, and build relationships
• Oversee process engineering portions of projects: scope, budget, schedule, and quality
• Lead all phases of treatment plant design: master planning, feasibility, conceptual/preliminary/detailed design
• Perform process modeling, mass balances, hydraulics; prepare PFDs & P&IDs
• Select equipment and develop layouts for technologies such as activated sludge, nutrient removal, membrane bioreactors, filtration, disinfection
• Mentor junior engineers; collaborate with civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation/control teams
• Support permitting & regulatory compliance; visit sites during design, construction & commissioning
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• 8 years of progressive water/wastewater process engineering experience in consulting
• PE licensure required
• Bachelor’s in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited)
• Proficiency with process modeling software (e.g. BioWin, GPS‑X, WaterCAD), PFDs/P&IDs, and design tools like AutoCAD or Revit
• Excellent analytical, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
