Legal Assistant - Dallas, TX

Firm:

Founded 40 years ago, this is a national litigation law firm, with over 200 attorneys, that provides legal services to businesses, insurance companies, and other organizations across a wide range of industries.

Role:

As the Legal Assistant/Paralegal, you will be responsible for providing support to attorneys and clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, organizing and maintaining case files, and assisting with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule appointments, meetings, court dates, and conference calls.
• Drafting legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and correspondence
• Prepare, proofread, format, and distribute legal correspondence and documents.
• Maintain and organize physical and electronic client files.
• Manage attorney calendars and deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience; law firm or legal office experience required.
• Litigation experience required.
• Strong eFiling experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with legal case management or document management software is a plus.
  
  

Compensation/Benefits:

• Base Salary: $70-85k , commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
