In this full-time 3rd shift role (Sunday–Thursday, 11p–7a), you’ll work in a hospital setting performing a combination of advanced imaging studies, and you’ll be qualified in at least two modalities. You keep patients calm, comfortable, and informed while delivering diagnostic-quality images for the radiologist.

You move confidently between modalities, follow established protocols, and still never lose sight of the person on the table.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be part of a hospital-based imaging team, performing multi-modality exams, with qualified competency in at least two of:

• Diagnostic Radiography
• CT
• MRI
• Mammography
• Ultrasonography (general, vascular, echocardiac)
• Nuclear Medicine
• Interventional Radiology (IR)
  
  

You’ll provide a minimum of 25% of your time in your second modality while consistently producing diagnostic quality images under radiologist supervision.

The core challenge: balance technical excellence with genuine, reassuring patient interaction on every shift.

What You'll Be Doing

• Perform a combination of imaging procedures in at least two modalities as ordered by physicians or licensed providers
• Follow established imaging protocols under the general supervision of a radiologist
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for accurate interpretation
• Clearly explain procedures to patients and ensure they are comfortable and at ease
• Manage and monitor patients throughout imaging procedures
• Operate modality-specific equipment (CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, IR, or X-Ray) safely and effectively
• Follow verbal and written instructions accurately in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and hospital staff
• Maintain discretion and effective working relationships across the department
• Work independently during 3rd shift while adhering to all protocols and safety standards
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Medical Diagnostic Sonography, or Ultrasound training (as applicable to your modalities)
• Meets all qualifications and requirements for at least two of the following: Diagnostic Radiography, CT, MRI, Mammography, Ultrasonography, Nuclear Medicine, Interventional Radiology (IR)
• For CT: Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program; ARRT with post-primary CT certification R.T. (R)(CT); Rhode Island Department of Health license
• For Mammography: Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program; ARRT with post-primary Mammography certification R.T. (R)(M); Rhode Island Department of Health license; meets MQSA guidelines
• For MRI: Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program; ARRT R.T. (R)(MR) or ARMRIT certification; Level 2 MR personnel
• For Ultrasound: Graduate of accredited ultrasound training program; certified or eligible for ARDMS or ARRT (S)
• For IR: Graduate of accredited radiologic technology program; ARRT R.T. (R); Rhode Island Department of Health license
• One to two years’ experience in your chosen modalities preferred
• Basic computer skills and the ability to operate modality-specific imaging equipment
• Ability to work independently and maintain effective working relationships
  
  

The Experience That Will Really Get Our Attention

You’re already cross-trained and credentialed in at least two hospital-based imaging modalities and comfortable taking ownership on nights. You know how to walk into a stressful situation, explain what’s happening in plain language, and still deliver clean, diagnostic images on the first pass.

Maybe you’re CT/MR, Mammo/US, IR/CT, or a similar combination – but you’re confident on the equipment and steady with patients who are anxious, in pain, or critically ill.
