- Lead the design and specifications for assigned projects, (i.e. power distribution, lighting & lighting control systems, fire detection systems) design layouts, equipment sizing and selection, performing calculations etc.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including drawings, details, schedules, equipment specifications, and associated reports
- Develop electrical design plans and schematics for commercial projects, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and national code regulations
- Conducted load calculations to optimize system performance to layout single line diagrams and organize power system architecture based on NEC and IBC requirements
- Integrate electrical systems into multi-disciplinary designs
- Prepare and review technical documentation including specifications, shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs improving workflow through the construction administration phases
- Communicate with clients, contractors, and other project team members as needed to support project design
- AutoCAD proficiency, Revit experience a plus
- Visiting projects under construction to verify work is being completed per design specifications
- Manage multiple projects through design until completion of construction
- Coordinate with design team professionals of other disciplines as they perform their designs to ensure proper coordination on construction documents
- Perform project site visits during design and construction to ensure proper implementation of the design documents
- Ability to professionally communicate with clients, architects, internal team members, regarding associated projects
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or similar
- Approximately four (~4) or more years of related engineering experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification desired
- Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- AutoCAD proficient, Revit experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
