Are you an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney ready to take ownership of your cases while working alongside a respected team of litigators? Our client, a well-established and growing Florida law firm, is seeking a talented attorney to join its Bodily Injury Insurance Defense practice.

The Opportunity

As a member of the Bodily Injury Insurance Defense team, you will represent insurance carriers, businesses, and insured clients in a wide variety of personal injury and general liability matters. You'll develop litigation strategies, work directly with clients and claims professionals, and advocate for favorable outcomes through negotiation, mediation, and trial.

What You'll Do

• Manage bodily injury insurance defense cases from initial assignment through resolution.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Develop strategic legal defenses and provide practical advice to insurance carriers and insured clients.
• Work closely with claims adjusters, expert witnesses, medical professionals, and consultants.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure while recommending effective litigation strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations and alternative dispute resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients while managing deadlines and court requirements.
• Mentor junior attorneys and collaborate with an experienced litigation team.
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.
• Experience handling Bodily Injury Insurance Defense litigation.
• Strong litigation, analytical, research, and legal writing skills.
• Experience taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing cases independently.
• Excellent client communication and relationship management skills.
  
  

Preferred

• Trial experience.
• Experience handling catastrophic injury or high-exposure claims.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior attorneys.
