Property Accountant - Real Estate Group - Philadelphia, Pa - $70-75k
Prior/current real estate/property accounting experience is required!!
The Property Accountant will be responsible for the financial accounting of a portfolio of real estate properties. This includes preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, as well as experience with real estate accounting.
Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of real estate properties.
Manage budgets for real estate properties and track expenses against budget.
Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, such as GAAP.
Review and reconcile financial statements and accounts.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Prepare tax returns for real estate properties.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to management and investors.
Maintain real estate property records.
Communicate with property managers, owners, and vendors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
2 years of experience in real estate/property accounting is required.
Public accounting experience will be considered.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with real estate transactions.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
Appfolio software or other real estate software is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
