A Go Kart Mechanic Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within a location's mechanic shop, including managing staff, controlling inventory, safety compliance, ensuring excellent communication with management, and leading troubleshooting of complex diagnostic issues involving lithium batteries, maintaining a fleet of up to 100 go karts, chargers, and minimizing customer complaints of handling and performance of the fleet; essentially ensuring smooth day-to-day operations while meeting business goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
General
• Hiring, training, scheduling, and managing a team of mechanics.
• Monitoring stock levels, placing orders, managing product rotation, and performing stock checks to prevent overstocking or shortages.
• Addressing customer complaints communicated to the shop manager from other store management, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive karting experience.
• Maintaining shop appearance, organizing parts, and ensuring team adheres to company dress code.
• Opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies, keep shop on regular maintenance program and shop safety standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management
IDEALLY YOU’LL HAVE:
• At least 5-10 years experience of mechanical, electrical work on cars, go karts or other mechanical vehicles.
• Ability to motivate and guide staff towards achieving goals.
• Effective interaction with customers, staff, and management.
• Identifying and resolving issues related to mechanical and electrical issues involving karts, team conflict resolution, and operations.
• Managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining accurate records.
• Attention to detail and follow through is a must
• Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner (i.e., highly organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible to change in an evolving company with the ability to recognized and set priorities)
• Ability to think independently with good judgement and logic
